Thinking of heading up to Alice Lake on the Canada Day weekend. Would appreciate any recent reports.

Lots of small willing biters, it was very windy both days I have gone this year. Water is starting to warm up so early AM and evenings will soon be the most productive times.

Haven't been up myself but will mention if you have never been to the other lakes in the park you might want to check them out.  Edith and Fawn are a good walk but Stump is 5 mins from the parking lot on a level trail and was my preferred lake out of the 4.

I have had great fishing at Alice Lake using a spinning rod with a water bubble float, 5 feet of 4 pound fluorocarbon leader, and a size 14 bead head nymph of any kind.  I normally fly fish but the lake is not back cast friendly and I don't like float tubes so I was restricted to finding a spot where I could crawl out on the trees to cast.  It is a beautiful park and pond and I would recommend it to anyone.   Have fun.
