Title: Weird fish in Alouette Lake/Gold Creek (Not a Northern Pikeminnow)
Post by: Sam6140 on June 21, 2011, 11:50:32 PM
I was at the lake today, and noticed a few of these weird creatures in the shallows, near the mouth of Gold Creek. They're brown or grey, look like an eel or snake, and were about 6 inches long. They swim like a snake or an eel. Kinda creeped me out.  What are they??

They sound like big leeches.

I've seen some 4 inch leaches in some of the local lakes near there. Not a 6 inch one, though they might be some.

lol @ steelie-slayer.   I'm just glad that I only saw them when I was on shore, and not earlier when I was wading out in the water (barefoot in shorts).
