Title: cap coho report?
Post by: andrew5 on June 20, 2011, 03:39:15 PM
Hi All,

I want to try this out as I have some time off in the coming weeks. Doesn't sound like they're quite running yet. Anyone been there or heard of any recent updates?

They usually start showing up in the river in June.  But it's best to go and check out the cable pool, and the hatchery to see if there's a lot of fish around.  If it's not far away, then it can't hurt.  And of course, as the previous poster said - fishing reports (the easiest way).

Anybody have theories why this year's run is later than last years? Higher Snow pack? Is it related to low fish count in the Albion Test fishery?

Look out your window. Today is supposed to be the 1st day of summer. We haven't seen spring yet. :)

Fished it on the 19th, took a little 2lb'er.  The place was absolutely PACKED...was hard to find a spot to get in.  Got all my hits on roe, so give that a shot.
