Hi everyone I live in vancouver and am thinking of driving out to pitt meadows for some bass and or carp and have a question ;is the sloughs there tidal influenced or is it freshwater? Also are they active this time of year? Thanks for the replys.

Hi Will_CARP,
The Sloughs are freshwater but they are raised up to 1-2 feet sometimes at tide.
Fishing was good last month.
The carps start spawning there.
Here is a video taken last weekend.

That explains it! Thanks. I was fishing out there and was wondering how the water level got higher in only 1 day, when it hasn't rained. lol And the water clarity improved also in just a day.

Is that Sturgeon Slough in the video?

Thanks a bunch for all the replys, though the trip was a fail. On the way there i ran over a sharp rock on the road and blew a tire lol. I'm going back later and report how i did.
