Title: Chilliwack Lake this weekend?
Post by: canuckjgc on June 03, 2011, 09:56:27 AM
Hi all,

How busy do you think Chilliwack Lake will be this weekend?  I've never been there and the family wants to get out on the boat.  I suspect Alouette and Pitt will be very busy with temps supposed to hit 25C or so.

Is it generally a lot colder around there?  Never been.  We'll fish a bit and boat around so if fishing is slow that is fine.

Will the water be quite high?  Hoping the launch is even accessible.

You should be ok. One of our correspondence was there last week and did ok with the fishing. Bull trout in the 2 to 3lb range and some small kokanee (8").

Yes, fishing should be good this time of year as it is a VERY cold lake.  It is generally not as busy as Alouette, but it is a much smaller campground (80 sites vs over 200 sites @ Alouette).
