Post by: sawsdoc on April 23, 2010, 12:35:00 PM
Hello

I just joined this site today and am new to BC fishing
Would anyone suggest a river to go to for trout, something smaller than the vedder and local ?

Thank you

why dont you just ask for a visa # or banking password?
Ha, kidding. people are pretty tight lipped when it comes to the larger fisheries let alone the smaller ones. The Skagit is a great trout stream but i dont think it opens till July? there are plenty of small streams in the pitt meadows area as well you can explore for yourself.

North Vancouver: Capilano River, Seymour River
North side of Fraser River between Coquitlam and Hope: Coquitlam River, Alouette River, Kanaka River, Nicomen Slough, Suicide Creek and many other even smaller ones.
Surrey/White Rock: Little Campbell River, Serpentine River, Nicomekl River.

Please note that some of these streams or part of them are closed for fishing from May 1st to June 30th. You can find these out in this file:
