Title: Looking for a good lake to fish this weekend
Post by: FishOn36 on April 20, 2010, 09:07:57 PM
I'm looking to go fishing with a couple friends this weekend if the weather permits, with a small inflatable boat I bought last week (Intex Seahawk II). I'm mainly going out there to put my friends on some fish cause it's been quite a while since they've caught anything. Anyways, I'm looking for any small lakes that have been producing lately that might be worth checking out...I've been of trying either Rolley or Mill lake. Any suggestions guys? Any what kind of gear should I be using? Was planning on trolling wedding bands (green or emerald green) with a piece of worm, and possibly trolling a croc spoon.

Thanks  8)

Buntzen's supposed to be good if you have a boat, and you don't have to go far from the city.

Alouette has nice kokanee, if you want to go for that.

Both are huge lakes that I've never fished, what kind of setups produce there?

I'll let somebody else answer about the setups, but if you want smallish lakes, I'd suggest Sasamat, Mike or Whonnock.

Any smaller than that, and you might as well fish from shore.
