Title: Will these work for pinks??
Post by: mastercaster on September 07, 2009, 01:09:58 PM: I'm sure Rodney will know but feel free to chime in. A friend of mine wants to join me one day to go fishing for pinks while I flyfish for them. I've never used lures before but I have a whole bag of these things that have been sitting around our closet for the last 6-7 years. Actually I SHOULD know exactly how long I've had them because my wife bought them through some company to hand out to our wedding reception guests....they have our names and wedding date engraved on the back of them. We forgot to hand them out in the beginning of the evening so a lot were not given out. They're not pink but I do know pinks hit other colours like chartruece, red, etc. Took the trebles off that they came with. Pretty sure they'd work on coho but once again I normally use flies...... blades and the odd croc if I decides to use gear.

What do you think??

If you want to test out a couple out for me be my guest. Now if they said "Canucks Forever" instead of our wedding date I might not be as willing to give them up!

Post by: CYR on September 07, 2009, 10:11:19 PM: Both should work fine, in fact I have caught just about the same amount of Pinks on beach with chartruece colour flies as the pink colour flies.
