I know Pinks are good right now in the Fraser, but I'm planning a trip up Squamish. Are there Pinks in good number?
I want to bring a Buddy to fly fish for them. Or are they still recovering from the Toxic spill 4 years ago.
Thanks all.

Tappering off. I haven't been up there in about a week. But it was already slowing down then.
I think peak was about 2 weeks ago. This year's Squamish/Mamquam run seemed smaller and shorter.
I'm sure there are still fish in there tho.

Went way up the Mamquam yesterday to get an idea of what is going on with the clarity and found the trib that is the problem, Water was unfishable yesterday and with the rain that is forecast I would say that a trip up this way will be a waste of time unless you enjoy lining and snagging fish. This year might really tough fishing clarity wise for chum/coho due to slides on the Cheekeye and the upper Mamquam.

My friend was up there and he said that they caught quite a few, but they were already starting to get old.

I went up there on Wed
I was the only one there, reason was two to three inches of clarity
yes there are a lot of fish in the river but you would only be snagging them
As Dereke mentioned with the rains comming it will be a waste of gas, energy, time for anyone to head up there
Sad if it does not clear in time for the Ho's and chum
i hear there are a few pinks in the Fraser right now so get out there guys, find yourself a spot to fish and have fun
