Title: Chilliwack River Fall/Cultus Sockeye
Post by: Coho Cody on August 31, 2009, 03:10:35 PM
Just a friendly reminder to those out there that there are sockeye in the system, most adipose clipped as they are the Cultus Lake Run. Thought I would post this reminder because yesterday I was sickened to see a guy foul hook a fish beside me, tell him to not drag it up because it was foul hooked, but in the meantime, reef it across the beach to realize it was a sockeye. Please be careful people, know your fish before hitting the water. Most of the sockeye you will encounter this time of year will be adipose clipped.

Timely post Cody.  They are certainly moving up into Cultus Lake right now.  Make certain you know exactly what you have before you give it a bonk.  If there is any doubt, just let it go.  All of these fish are important, even the small ones.
