I actually saw one of those long rods being used on one of the local lakes last week. Do they sell those rods locally ?

I know one place but its for carp.

my dad has a couple of these rods, very fun to play with but with steelheads... gona need a thicker pole.

they use poles like that for coarse fishing in england to,expensive poles.cheers.

That is very similiar to what we used in Holland except they where bamboo. I still have one of my Opa's bamboo rodes from the early 60's .

I caught my largest steelie ever in the Kalum ! Nice18 pounder. That fishing guide in the video is a super nice guy, went out with him for springs and got a nice chrome 20 pounder out of the canyon. I think his name was Andrew.
