Title: A Sad Night At GM Place
Post by: chris gadsden on January 09, 2009, 09:38:21 PM
Ex Leafs Boyes, Steen and Colaiacovo contribute to down the Canucks while poor Mats struggled again and took a costly penalty. I imagine he wished night he was back in the Center of the Universe.

It was an embarassment tonight. Hope the boys get their act together for tomorrow night.

Funny how ex-Leafs play better when they're away from Toronto. Remember Andrew Raycroft ? He was a sieve with the Laughs last year. This year, he's actually got a winning record.

He fails to recognize those things. When you talk to a Leafs fan remember that it goes in one ear and out the other ;) They are brainwashed as Harold Ballard did a number on them LOL

Will most likely be sadder place this evening when the Sharks take a bite or two out of them.

Can't really say I was surprised by this one.

Theodore turned his game around once he was re-united with former teammate turned goalie coach Jeff Hacket.

As it just so happens, Hacket and Raycroft were teammates in Boston.

Yep.

Pretty easy prediction considering they have 31 wins and 5 losses LOL

Canucks did play better tonight than they did last night against the Blues. If they played this way last night they would have won. Sanford allowed two weak goals.

Will someone please tell Marc Crawford that our goalie was Sanford. He was calling him Stanford all night.

Why does everyone do that  ::)  How hard is it to READ the back of his jersey!!!!

Anyways good on Sundin. He played a much better game tonight, got a goal and got robbed on the power play, he was much more noticable tonight. On the downside, another bad penalty of his cost the inning goal again. Would like to see him moved on to the Sedin line permanentally and not just on power plays. Sanford played a decent game. Didn't see the first goal but the backhand goal handcuffed him and can't really blame him for it as he was scrambling to get back into his net anyways.

I also thought the CBC After Hours show with Mats was terrible although Mats always the gentleman took it in stride. The questions set up by CBC with Healy and that poker guy was an embarrasment if there ever was one. :(

They were having some light hearted fun with him. I saw nothing wrong with it and it seemed as though Mats enjoyed it. Bringing back his draft day was also funny.

Its much better than if they pounded him with questions that have already been asked him a million times like why it took him so long to decide etc etc...

I have a feeling that was Sanfords last game with the canucks :-X better game but in the end still not good enough for the win which is the bottom line
