The bite was fast, furious and short today but it could have picked up later as I left at 8:30.
I had a chinook on for a few minutes and then my 8 pound leader snapped. After tying up again another larger one on and it jumped right away, I see the hook placement, its is in its back. :-X :-[ ??? ::) :o I straight line it and everything goes including my float that goes drifting down river.
After I retie up the bite is over.
The plus of the day was after showing some American vistors how to rig up a couple of days ago as they had way too much float line then. Today they each picked up a nice bright, for the Vedder hen chinook each. They were tickled pink with their success so I helped convert two anglers away from the long lining crowd. ;D
