Title: Ross Lake, October 5th 2008
Post by: fishingbuddha on October 05, 2008, 10:27:26 PM
decided to go fishing today but didn't know whether to hit gwen or ross. since it wasn't raining at hope, we decided to hit ross. when we got there the water was low, snow had fallen on the mountains and it looked like it was going to rain all day.

bad news was there wasn't a lot of water in ross lake and it was pretty cold. the good news was it didn't rain and the fishing was decent.

after some searching we ended up hooking into a dozen rainbows all on black micro leeches  and sparkly green and black chennille leeches.

the last two were caught from shore casting to some rainbows sipping bugs off of the surface.
sorry no pics

good times. looking forward to some sturgeon, fly fishing for salmon and steelheading on the thompson.......definately the best time of the year for fishing!
