Title: Yamaha 2 Stroke Mechanic
Post by: flatlander on September 29, 2008, 10:22:22 AM
I've got a 94 Yammie 115 two stroke outboard that's been giving me some trouble.  She won't start without starting fluid, even after warming up.  Had her in three times to the local shop in Maple Ridge but the outboard is still running poorly.

Any suggestions on a 2 stroke or Yammie expert mechanic would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dont know what part of the Lower Mainland you are from exactly (other than close to MR), but I have found the guys at Lordship Marine in Vancouver to be absolutely fantastic.  You might even give them a phone call and get some ideas.

Yep, starting fluid is bad...better however than not being able to get back to the boat launch

I may give lordship a try.  It's not too far to drive if someone can figure out what's wrong with the outboard.

cheers
