Title: Vacuum packers

I've been using a phillips vacuum sealer that I've owned for around 7 years.  Not really doing a very good job.  I'm wondering what others are using and if there are any strong recommendations?

I was at wallmart the other day and saw a new foodsaver unit that looked pretty decent. They were doing demos and it looked like it had some power.

Foodsaver is all I have ever used, It has NEVER failed me in 15years.

GREAT PRODUCT, a little pricy, but well worth it

I have been using a food saver for 7 years and it has not failed me yet. If you are looking for one Hatch matchers has one on sale for $99. These are refurbished units. The food saver company found that the heat stripes where not doing the best job so they replaced the heat stripes. These units retailed for around $199. I am going to upgrade mine to one of these units as these ones are way better then the food saver that I currently own.

Another great place to pick up the Food Savers is from MTF.  They have stores in Langley, Surrey and other locations as well.Both my buddy and I picked up the top of the line vacuum sealers at the Surrey location for $50 a piece...not refurbished, just a damaged box.

 I've gotten fantastic deals at that store on other items, too.  Picked up a brand new king size Igloo white cooler for $45...those things are usually over $100.

Can't remember what the letters stand for but they're a store who brings in lost leader items from stores like Cosco as well as goods where the boxes have been damaged in freight.  They have everything from food to furniture and appliances.  In the case of those large white coolers some might have one of the lid snaps damaged...the one I found, however, didn't have a mark on it.  The store I go to is on 78th Ave. off the King george Hwy.

Got mine last bday from Costco - Foodsaver Brand.  Good deals on the bags.
