I'm sitting here in Washington and have been watching the water levels quite a bit this last month and they seem to jump immediately after a rain. Of course you can only tell so much from the internet, but it seems to me that the ground is not quite dried out enough and the trees aren't quite thirsty enough to take up this rain and it goes into the river. I'm hoping for quite a dry spell, or we may be looking at blown rivers early this fall.
