He also did some commercials for Sassoon jeans.

A haircut that is short upfront and on the sides, but long in the back. Often described as a cancerous growth on the head, the mullet was popularized in the late 70's and 80's by Michael Bolton, Billy Ray Cyrus and the professional wrestling industry.

Universally known as the bad haircut, or the trailer cut, it is sported by men and sometimes women she-mullet who are poor, with little education and reside in the southern United States. There are even mullet heads in the north and one hairdresser in New England is still giving the cut, Miss Vicky's in Manchester, NH. Be careful, however as this is often involunatry and accompanies a bad dye job. Canadian hockey players also traditionally sport the mullet.

Women who sport the mullet she-mullet tend to be lower income, fat and openly proclaim their butch orientation. A woman wearing a mullet is the social equivalent of coming out in the lesbian community.

The most hated haircut of all time has inspired mullet hunters who have turned siting them in public places to an amateur sport. Acts of violence against mullet wearers is an issue of concern among law enforcement personnel throughout the country.
