Do you have to be 16 or older or over sixteen to need to get a fishing license?

Your only giving one option. Re-read your post. But either way it is yes. The day you turn sixteen is when it becomes necessary to buy a licience

The post makes sense, he says do need to be 16 or older or over 16. Which means do you need to be older the 16 to get a license or do you need one when you turn 16

Ignore Dion, he's an engineering student, they take the longest route when solving a problem. ;)

ae_9, for freshwater, you only need a fishing licence if you are 16 or over. For saltwater, you also need a fishing licence if you are under 16, but that licence is free (the saltwater salmon stamp however, is not free for under 16).

Qustion. I heard that you have to wait until your sixteen to buy your liscense. Even though this November is when need one, can i not just buy it in April and get it over with? I heard you can't and have to wait.

Well, it shouldn't matter......I waited till my B-day to get mine last yr....but just think:

A) You gotta blow the money anyways
B) You do not have to record Chinook or Steelhead down, until your 16...unless you want to....
C) You don't need to have one in your possession until your 16...so reely why bother buying one, when you necessarily don't need it? (until Nov)
D) Its honestly your choice! because when it comes down to it....you need one in November anyways...so why not buy one in April?

Think I covered all sides of this.  ;)
