Title: fishing from shore in the snow

what are some good lakes in the lowermainland that are good to fish from the shore, in the snow?  and preferably not frozen  ;)

does rolley lake have a dock?  or maybe the boat launch at hayward?

No dock at rolley. But that lake is not very big and since there is no boats allowed they did not put a dock in. They also do not keep the gates at rolley open all year so if you are planning to fish there you may have to walk into the lake. There is a good trail that does go all around the lake that does have some good spots to fish from. I hope this helps.

The following lakes have good shore access and were well stocked with rainbow trout by the Abbotsford Hatchery last October.

Mill Lake in Abbotsford

Sasamat Lake and Buntzen Lake in Port Moody

Rice Lake in North Vancouver (Seymour Conservative Reserve)

Trout Lake in Vancouver

Brohm Lake in Squamish (maybe frozen)

I find I have the best luck at Sasamat out of all those lakes, you can get out on the floating boardwalk and get into some deeper water, but it can get busy at times, probably caught more there than all the others combined (in the winter)

I would suggest Lafarge Lake, but it's all frozen over. I think sasamat should be fine though. It usually fishes pretty good with the bait on the bottom. ;)
