Unless I have converted the gauge incorrectly I think it is only a couple of inches at the moment. I  hope it does come up 6 inches by the end of the day and then I may be able to catch a coho. ;D

It's a typhoon out there - too much too much!  A few friends came back early on account of the downpour.

River has went up a bit, but it is no where close to blowing out. Just shows you how low the Vedder was, and how dry the ground was.

From my records its always around this time that it really starts to rain. Didnt the squamish flood a few years ago around today?

I'd imagine that if it rained for two days straight we have some flooding

good steady rain is what we need, but not a blowout. that would spell disaster for coho fishing.

It came up 5cm (2") according to the graph for the Vedder crossing. See,

Most streams weren't even showing much today.  Drove up to Squamish and that river was not up, just its usual glacial colour and the Mamquam was still running clear.  All the little streams like the one through Lions Bay was flowing, but nothing crazy.  Thought the Stawamus River/Creek would have been up, but that was still very low.  Need a lot more of it and longer to soak the ground.
