Title: Vedder Oct 14
Post by: Hook Set on October 14, 2006, 02:43:51 PM
Myself, __hooked__ his dad and brother hit the vedder this morning. We started at the lower river and claimed our spot before sunrise. As soon as there was light the fish were bitin. I got a spring on my 3rd cast but "pop" and off it goes. It continued like this for half an hour until __hooked__ got a bite and he had a beautiful 12 lbs hatchery coho on the line. After a short fight he got it in and "bonk, YAY I did it" ;D. Everybody was getting hits consistantly throughout the day, mostly springs and some chum. I had 15 fish hooked, 12 springs and 3 chum. The biggest spring was 35+ pounds. :o __Hooked__ got that nice coho and some springs and his little brother got into 3 springs as well. It was a great day to be on thewater and the fishing was  great.

Pics to come if we can figure out how to  :-\

good report, we had a good morning on the river as well, arrived at first light walked past the crowds and found a nice run with only one other angler, took home two springs in the 30lb range, and caught and released lots more. Didnt see any coho taken, but there sure are alot of springs in the river.
