ROE . Spring Roe , Chum Roe I allways use Roe this time of the year . Gills work as do salmon guts even chunks of salmon work well they will be turning on to the Chum roe and it will soon be the best bait out there . The last couple of trips I have used spring and chum both have produced equally .

How big a Sturgeon can you land in a small craft safely?  Or, how big a boat do you need to handle the largest of the fish?

Boat size has nothing to do with it you can get them off the shore or in a boat . A couple years back I anchored beside a guy in a two man rubber raft we were both nailing Sturgeon one after the other he landed a 5 footer it was something to see  ;D . The guy and I were talking he said he hooked and landed an 8 footer outta that same $ 40.00 dollar raft . Not something I would be doing but it can be done I witnessed it . I wondered what type of anchor he had .

That is insane! Do you mean one of those crappy little inflateable rafts from Canadian Tire?  Those are a joke.
