Title: Lower Fraser
Post by: Geff_t on October 09, 2006, 06:33:30 PM
Well decided to take my 5 year old bar fishing the lower fraser at Mission bridge today. There where alot of fish around and I did see a few brought to the beach. It took me awhile to hit my first one but unfortunatly only felt a few head shakes and then it was gone. An hour or so later it was tap tap and then slack line again and I set the hook a little harder this time and the fight was on. Played it for awhile and got it close enough to see that it was not a chum but a very nice hatchery coho and then it goes for one last run and the line breaks. Was not too dissapointed , at least it gave me a good fight. I will have to try again on friday, Saturday and Sunday as my daughters school is having a fishing derby this weekend. I think if we get a fish on she will get to play the first one.
