way too much oil. a couple of drops in the worm gear is all you need. excessive oiling will create a hydraulic effect and can make your drag and gears slip. i learned that the hard way :-[ . Rob at gone fishin' will confirm that.

I agree - but it's good to have such detailed pics as a guideline for folks trying to do the work themselves.
