Title: Shorefishing in Tofino
Post by: Long_Cast on September 23, 2006, 12:30:51 PM
I'm going to Tofino next week and I'll be bringing my rod and reel and I'm wondering if there are shorefishing opportunities? Are there some good piers/docks and beaches for fishing?

I fished off the rock at Tonquin Beach on Tifino a few years ago, got into a few coho. Given that this was on August, I'm pretty sure there's some fish around.

Awesome. What setup did you use? Lure, bait, rod and reel etc.

2" buzz bomb off the rocks with my drift rod, but any rod capable of casting a buzz bomb would work.
