Title: Float Fishing
Post by: Youngin on July 20, 2006, 11:02:39 PM
I'm just wondering what people use as weight for float fishing.. easy clip on betties, or lead? :D personally, I use betties because I can just clip them on within a second and get back to fishing!! how about you guys? (and lead, as in the lead stick :P )

Pencil lead in fast water and split shots in pools and runs.

Pencil for all. If you dont know the depth of water and cast and your float isnt set right they get snagged easy, i had a good time laughin at my buddy ;D

I agree with cammer...spreading split shot out makes them same amount of lead less obtrusive and I find that having a lot of weight all at the bottom of your line increases snags.
