Title: FRASER RIVER SOCKEYE
Post by: buck on July 02, 2006, 09:22:34 PM
Higher than normal temperatures through out the province could turn out to be a disaster for Fraser River sockeye. Water temperatures are already climbing and unless there is a cooling trend losses of returning sockeye could be considerable. The bonanza that everyone thinks is going to happen may turn out to be a big flop. Global warming could be the the nail in the coffin for pacific salmon not overfishing.

Hmmm...bad part about this global warming is that our leaders are taking such a reactionary stance to it. After the damage has been done, then they will try and pick up the pieces.
