Title: Lake question?
Post by: Xgolfman on April 29, 2006, 02:00:27 PM
I've been fishing a small lake south of Bellingham. Lots of small cutties in it, average size 11-12", their a blast to catch and readily take the fly during mid day hours. I've found around 3pm is when what ever hatch is happening really makes them active, by 5 pm the fishing really slows down and by 7 to 8 it is all but dead, no risers, nothing. This pretty much flys against all the other lakes I've fished so am wondering if anyone knows what is going on here. In a nutshell they are hitting dry flys all day and in the evening they are all gone and won't hit dry or nymph's, leech's etc. and no risers..
Any idea's on what is happening would be greatly appreciated.
