I think what Fish Freak is trying to say, is that sadly we are all in the same boat so to speak.  We have to try to find a way over to the bar, and so do you.  If you can find a ride over, then you are in.  If not, then I guess you fish somewhere else. :-\

Have 19 1/2 ft boat new  in 2003  115 hp out board propeller powered where is this bar willing to take three people . All week starting Monday as I'm off work for a while and plan on fishing from now till end of august as long as propeller boats can make it with out damaging the prop I'm in . I have a few spots that i go to but in the high water there probably un fishable. I can run in 6 feet of water but it gets me nervous after that as the props get pricey normally fish around Kilby area and know this area pretty good from there down to island 22 I'm ok but am always very nervous of hitting bars going fast. As you come out of kilby to the confluence (calamity point) just below there  is a spot i allways see guide boats fishing plunking with spin n glos it 's called Big fish bar in the (fishing the fraser ) book . Depending on water speed and depth i probably know some really great spots at least they are good in august the last three years. Normally i beach the boat and fish from shore i am a very competent skipper who respects the Fraser most of the better area's are in Jet boat country and I'm not willing to screw my boat up this is why i stick to the area where I'm comfortable navigating this river is challenging and must be done with extreme caution in propeller powered boats.

Hey legend,

I took my 100 HP outboard with a prop there last weekend, and it worked out just fine. Plenty of water and a short easy trip to the bar we were on last week.

I might be convinced to go this week too, though 6 a.m. is awfully early... won't know till it gets a little closer though. If I'm there I'm happy to ferry a few people back & forth.

Wellington bar ? , Mountain bar ? , Harrison hill bar ? , Big fish bar ? ,Queens island bar ? , they are all with in 5 min of island 22 ramp . Directly north of the ramp is called Wellington or North island bar , north east just past Wellington is Mountain bar , a little past Mountain bar is Harrison hill bar , next is Big fish bar a little up stream from Harrison hill bar . Below island 22 to the west is Queens island bar a little further south west is Wingdam bar there are so many spots it's ridiculous and from one day to the next one will out produce the next. I have fished this area the last three years and usually I go to the spot with the least amount of people . Hate being crowded I have one spot where no one usually comes to and it's productive for all species Sockeye , Spring in particular during august it's usually on fire limit out in 2 hour or less on sox and springers.

Not sure what its called, If you go down the ramp and look at the furthest point across river say look at 12 o clock you will see it directly straight across from the Boat launch, I dont kow how else to explain it, just straight across  ;D
