repairing neoprene waders?
« on: July 30, 2004, 09:56:55 AM »

I've always been crap at fixing neoprene waders. Recently noticed a leakage somewhere above the knee and below the waistline (ironic, eh). Any suggestions on:

1) how to locate the lsource of the leakage?

2) how to repair it.  I have "waterproof goop" and a waterproof patch as well.

Thank you for advice in advance.

ps...the waders are fairly new so I want to save 'em.

To find the hole I take a flashlight or a shop light, go into a fairly dark room and shine the light from inside the boot. The hole should then be illuminated and mark the area with a felt pen for the repair.

Normfish nailed it.  Works every time.  Make sure they're "DRY".
