Getting back on subject I agee with Rod. Pound for pound a fresh chum fights like nothing else. My personl best was a 28lb beast on my 9wt fly rod. That fish worked me so hard I was tempted to brake it off. When I finally brought it to hand, I had to let it go. I figured any fish that can fight that hard deserves to go and do what it came for. The guys standing around couldn't believe I would let a clean fish that size go.

The Squamish does have an even year pink run.  They are in there but it is strictly 0 retention.  DFO is trying to resestablish the run.
