I missed the entire winter steelhead season so this was a good substitute. :D

That's because you haven't taken me to MacDonald's or dim sum yet. ;D

Any rumours about potential winter kills this year?

If I recall, last year had a sort of perfect storm of conditions that seemed to cause atypical widespread effects. Enough that FFSBC even had blog updates about it.

Heading out on Saturday for a day trip near merrit. Any lake suggestions? Wanting to try a new lake
(not Marquart, Harmon, Paska or Lac le juene). Fly or gear available, looking for action (aren't we all  ::)) but prefer 16+ inch fish. Any suggestions? 2WD only. Feel free to message me privately if you want. Thanks

I was at Tunkwa May 2-7. First 4 days was fantastic fishing. Good size fish and lots of them. Third day was the best day fishing I’ve ever had there. Day 5 was only on the water for an hour and a half when the wind came up big and was forced off. Day 6 the wind was even worse and I didn’t even launch. Got into some bigger fish. Got broken off by one chubby fish, most likely my fault from getting over excited 😆.
