Title: Kawkawa Lake, March 1st 2010
Post by: colin6101 on March 02, 2010, 06:59:12 PM
I was there on opening day and had a blast. Most of my fish were caught on a small pink lure on my spincast rod, but I did manage to hook a few on a small pink fly I had tied as well (red bead head, sparse pink feathers with some flash). The key to catching them was the fast retrieve in the top ten feet of water. I didn't see too many kokanee caught all day, and all my 12 fish were small cohos as well. Still a lot of fun though, they fight really hard for their size.
