Widgeon Creek
« on: October 22, 2007, 08:52:52 PM »

Are there rainbow trout in there? Few times I went canoeing in that creek way before I started fishing and thought that would be a good place to fish? Boat rental season is over so that place will be remote. There are some really nice spots if i remember correctly. I heard Widgeon lake has big trout so there must be some in the river/creek. Anybody tried fly fishing there?

I went fishing in their once, and caught a couple small rainbows, just on a float and a worm (i was fairly new at fishing at this time so i wasn't fly fishing). i also saw a school of descent rainbows too.

Yup, but they were not of any size, maybe five or seven inches, haha, could have been a salmon fry :P it was like 4 years ago, and i was just starting out so my memory is a little hazy
