size gammies to use?

What size do you guys use for springs? and # test for leaders? thanks.

2/0-15 or 20
3/0-20
4/0-20 or 25
5/0-25
6/0-25 or 30
7/0-30+
8/0-30+
9/0-30+

Gamy/ug combo. Highly debatable though. Note 'Do not overline yer gamy's, & obviously do not underline 'em. If your flossin stay with the nickel finish the point seems to last longer.

Captain Bonk has obviously never fished the Kitimat, Kalum or Skeena where 7,8,9/0's are the order of the day. The poster didn't say where he was fishin, did he? CB there is more to springs than lining them in the valley.

Strictly personal preference. If you have the time tie them in roe bags, will last longer

Thanks fellas,kinda new the answers but though it might be different there than in the Shuswap river where I do my Spring fishing mostly. Im coming down to invade this weekend from the okanagan looks like rain.Oh, Im running 20lb Big game main and 15lb ultragreen for leader and we use 5/0 mostly but Ill tone that down a little for not to offend the ethical coastal anglers. ;)

For the vedder you only need 10-12 lb leader as long as you play the fish right and don't let it run for the fast current. Works for me  :)

I use 10 lb on the Vedder for salmon and steelhead. It has serve me well up to now. No need to change for the sake of changing.

I like 12 lbs leader with 1/0 hooks with 15 lbs mainline for the Vedder and 30 lbs leader with 25lb mainline and 4/0 hooks  for the Fraser.

I tend to use leaders in the  10-15 lbs range and hook size from 4-2/0.  I know the size 4 is a bit small but since I have them and I still get to hook and keep my fish why fix something that ain't broke?
