I plan to try targetting springs on the Fraser between Agassiz and Hope and have a couple of questions for members.
1. I will be on shore and a couple of spots I have in mind are quite rocky - If I bar rig how should I set up to avoid losing weights and/or bar every cast - or is this not possible?
2. What other methods can I try - floating roe?
Bottom bouncing is not a choice I do not want catch-release-kill any sockeye.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks gmanfxp
So the idea is you just plan on leaving the rock in the river bed. makes sense.

I've heard of some people using railway spikes. People fishing the Lower Fraser where is the current is not as fast use spark plugs.
-
I agree with gmanfxp sparkplugs do not so so hot. Railway spikes might be okay they seem to stand the test of time and shouldn't hurt the fish.

have to agree on the sparkplug issue.....
railway spikes though corrode back to iron oxide, which is not harmful to the environment........
i'd rather leave behind a iron spike in the water than a chunk of toxic lead.............
-
What's wrong with lead? It's all going back where it came from as everything else including us ;D

ah suuuure....you eat a couple of BB's and tell me how you feel in the morning!! ;D
of course....eating railway spikes is just as painfull..............LOL ;D
