Surplus Herby's
« on: August 30, 2004, 12:10:08 AM »

I was up at Blue River this weekend.  We camped & fished at Mystery Lake.  World's shortest fishing report:  tiny campsite, nice little lake, lots of small rainbows (10 - 12 in).  On the way we stopped at Surplus Herby's in Kamloops.

Man, that is a dangerous store.  They have loads of outdoor stuff, some at really good prices.  For $40 I got a set of Hodgman neoprene waders that fit, don't leak, and look brand new.  Wading belt and gravel guards - $1 each.  Surplus (slightly damaged) wading boots - $30.  Flies are $12 a dozen.

If you have any spare cash you feel like getting rid of, that seems like a good place to do it.   ;D

You gotta love those clearance waders. Stopped in there two weeks ago. Great store, theonly thing wrong with Surplus Herby's is that they don't have a store here in the lower mainland.

Double  ;D.  I can't wait to get out there and try a float tube.  I've been using an inflatable boat but a tube will be way better.

Herby's in Williams Lake was selling a pontoon boat for $250.00 in February.  Old stock blow out.  I didn't buy it :'(
