Ghost shrimp, can you cure them???

I was down at my one and only fly shop today...(had to work till noon and it was getting ugly by then.)
They had some containers of ghost shrimp...they were dead though and going to toss them...I asked if you can cure them like you would shrimp tails and they didn't know..Said they only fish um live...So, I'm thinking if you can salt and fire cure um like I did my shrimp tails right??? also when you do that would you leave the shell on??? Lastly, they freakin stink when dead..

I tried curing them with no success. As others have said, they stink to high heaven when they're dead.

don't know if you can cure them but it would be interesting to use the juice to brine your shrimp.

hands down, nothing beats steelheading with fresh, ghost shrimp. i have just gotten lazy over the years and no longer choose to go out and pump bugs.

I know what you mean. I remember last year being out in whiterock during low tide with searun, bigsteel and his girlfriend. we spent hours out in the cold to get only a couple of shrimp.
