Hey anglers, the spring river cleanup is coming up... here are the details:
Saturday, April 22nd
THOMSPON REGIONAL PARK (48600 Chilliwack Lake Rd) - NEW LOCATION!!!
Registration will be open from 8:30am to 9:30am and if you PRE-REGISTER before the event you will receive an extra raffle ticket.
To pre-register email the following information to
info@cleanrivers.ca no later than Friday, April 21st. - full name, cell phone number, emergency contact name with cell phone number (we will use this information to contact you in the event that you don't check back in with registration at Thompson Regional Park).
All garbage will need to be returned to the bins no later than 1:30pm.
Thank-you to Scott and the crew at Valley Waste & Recycling Inc. for donating the bins for our cleanups.
Finally, thanks to the awesome businesses that are supporting our prize raffle for this event: Banter Ice Cream, Project Climbing Centre, and PickEco Refills LTD.
If you have locations of garbage we need to know about, other than homeless camps, please describe location in a comment/reply. It would be great to see more anglers come out for this event. If you do your own cleanups on your angling days, I personally thank you for your efforts to keep this great watershed restored and keep up the great work!!
