jason aka fishing buddha
* live in richmond bc
* teacher/commercial fishing deckhand
* favourite fishing techniques = drift fishing for steelhead, fly fishing for trout, river fishing for salmon
* favourite fish = steelhead, wild rainbow and cutthroat trout
* favourite places to fish at the present: thompson river steelhead, ross lake/skagit river trout fishing, a secret river in the caribou where we drift down a river (friend caught a 9+ rainbow on a dry fly), fraser river, squamish river
* largest fish: 24 inch bull trout, 24 inch rainbow, 18 inch brook trout, 45+ lb river spring, 69 lb commercially caught queen charlotte spring, 110lb halibut.
* most embarrassing fishing experience = taking a friend across the chehalis river, watching him fall in, laughing at him only to realize he has dropped my spare rod and reel in the river along with a sentimental 80's ambassadeur reel that was in his back pocket.
* scariest fishing moment: realizing after a few minutes that the largest black bear you have ever seen is watching you from across the birkenhead river and is deciding whether to charge at you or not. also having a friend wake up to a bear sniffing his head
* best fishing day= ross lake: hooked into over 50+ trout in one day including rainbow, brook, bull.
* fish i haven't caught but plan to soon: brown trout, arctic char, grayling, queen charlotte steelhead, westslope cutthroat
*weirdest thing i have caught = an otter that was trying to steal my trout
* hobbies = anything to do with fishing

remember SOMETIMES the fishing is far more important than the fish.[/i]

From: born in Langley, live in Vancouver
Fav fishing spots: Adam's Lake, Fraser River
Fav Fish Species: Rainbows, Sturgeon
Fav Fishing Styles: trolling, bar fishing
Fav Foods: noodles, satay, curry

Funniest fishing memory: I was trolling a nymph.  Before I let my line out I noticed it was wrapped around my rod tip.  I lowered my rod to fix it and caught a fish 3 feet from the boat.

Worst memory:  Same fishing trip were on the lake and got caught in a hail storm.  I was very loud hitting the aluminum boat, and it hurt a lot :'(.

Welcome aboard IH8XC. To bad you weren't going to the Fox 8-9 years ago when the Terry Fox Fly Fishing Club was in it's heyday. We had some awsome trips and the Fraser Valley Middle & High School Fly Fishing Championship always rocked. The club faded out after I changed work locations, but if you want to join a good club talk to Mr. Reg Cichos at Arch Bishop Carney or see if you can transfer to Heritage Woods.

transfer to heritage woods in senior year?! i think not! lol i tried to get a club goin when i first got there in grade 9 but none of the old teachers where interested. I work at a shop anyways so i got lots of ppl to fish with. Plus my old principal "mr. ficter" comes to the shop now. lol. I've met ALL my fishing partners there.
