Title: Keogh River mouth saltwater, for pinks
Post by: Dale9 on May 22, 2004, 06:46:54 PM
I’m planning a trip for my dad to fish the mouth of the Keogh River right near the beach for pink salmon (catch & release.)

We’ll try to hit the peak week of the year (I’m currently thinking week of August 9.)

My question is:
During this peak week, what’s a rough estimate of the typical number of pinks caught/released in a day for, say, a “reasonably experienced” spinning (or fly) angler?  I know this varies a lot, but are we talking 0-10, 50-60....what?

Any thoughts as to how many fish people catch (during it’s peak period) would be helpful.

Thanks!

P.S.  Ian, thanks for your feedback.
