What Are Some People Thinking

While looking at the Chilliwack River today, by the pull off near On The Way Store. I came upon several salmon carcasses and a cod so most likely from the ocean. They had just been thrown onto the rip rap and they were just starting to smell and attract flies. How could an angler do this or anyone for that matter. They could have at least walked 30 m and put them in the river where they at least would have provided some nutrients.

Some people. >:( :( :o ??? ::) :'(

Have you seen what some natives do with unsold fish?  They got dumped by roadways.   :-\

Wasteful to say the least. I know some anglers who faithfully clean their fish at home and then take the head, innards etc. back to the river, we all need to do that including me. :-[

I have to agree.  Wasteful, and obviously (to me) not thinking. 

It seems a bit odd to me that this type of behaviour happens at all.

Just got back from a service of a couple of bags we have along the Vedder, good to see them full but garbage every where as it is after every long weekend. Good to see a dad and his two sons doing a cleanup by the Hydro Bridge, that's where the solution is, if we can get the youth to buy in.

Just get the federal government to put a bounty on litterers Chris, then some of us can have fun collecting ears to turn in for the bounty. Hundred bucks an ear should be good. ;D

i seen the same thing right by the vedder crossing bridge down on the bar. along with smashed beer bottles and cans everywhere

Looks like the latest T-Storms bumped the water levels up a bunch. So all the garbage is headed back where it belongs....
