who's heading out Christmas day?
« on: December 23, 2006, 05:27:26 PM »

Looks like this could be one of my few days off this month...I've been given the go and am wondering who else plans on heading out?...Am planning on the Vedder or the Nooksack if V. is sucking...and I'm on my own...

Anyone else free?

Nah, better to go out on boxing day.  Less people at all other rivers for some reason  ;)

Nooksack is just starting to warm up. Heard of 3 landed and several lost the past 4 days. Horseshoe area

I will be heading out to the Cheddar on Christmas.  Not too early mind you, but should be on the flow by noon.  Would be happy to meet up with people if they like, and we can explore some new territory together.   8)

Well today was our Christmas...The grandparents wanted to take the kids to Mexico and they are leaving tomorrow early for two weeks...So we celebrated ours today. It's funny how getting older and watching your kids grow up is such melancholy feeling. Sitting here today and thinking back to when they were little and so excited about Santa. Now they are teenagers and so happy to be getting digital cameras and cloths, all excited about Mexico and knowing that they won't be missing you but for seconds...  :-\
So gifts were all opened , nice prime rib dinner had and packed up and off for the night with the GP's. So now it's just me and the missus for two weeks...scary thought...BUT on the bright side I'm off for the next three days...and I'm heading out tomorrow...been too damn long since I've been on the river so no matter what, It will be nice to out...For the rest of you, Have a great Christmas tomorrow, and I'll see you on the flow...

Excellent points about the kids!  We can't wait til they grow up and then when they are gone we wish they were still little!  I understand your meloncholy! Well maybe grandchildren will soon be in the future!  Merry Christmas!
