Here's my favorite pic from the last few seasons of steelhead fishing. Not the biggest or brightest fish but it's special to me. It's a pic of me and my dad holding not only his first ever steelhead but also the first fish he has ever hooked and landed on his own.

I don't have any pics of steels.....digital cams weren't avaiable at the time.....come to think of it....personal computers were just becoming affordable when I last hooked steel......;))

I consider a passion for steelhead to be a gift. If you aint got it, thats too bad for you. If you do, good for you.

If you have it, you know that you dont need to have a fish on to be happy. It just makes every day more better. I dont have it, but I do have one for salt water springs. Im starting to think that I could get even more pumped about steelheading if I tried it.

Well sort of!!!!  I was born in Scotland, but I don't remember any of it, my mom and dad were stationed over there when I was born.  They came back to Nova Scotia when I was only six months old!!!!  Then we moved out of Nova Scotia when I was about six because they closed tha atlantic salmon fishery down out there for a while and my dad said he had no reason to stay anymore!!!!  Then I was in winterpeg for 21 years and did my far share of walleye, northern pike and Rainbow trout fishing.  After that I moved to Calgary for three years, but the Bow river with it's Brown trout just wasn't enough to keep me there.  I needed to fish for real fish once again, so I moved out here.  I would never leave BC.  I love it here!!!!!  I have got to have salmon, there is nothing like it!!!! ;D ;D ;D
