Please join us for World Oceans Day, Saturday, June 4th, 11 am - 3 pm at Blackie Spit, Crescent Beach , Surrey for a fascinating and fun day, over 40 displays with family activities and crafts, face painting; marine creature touch tank; music; kayaking, scuba, wood carving demos; youth photos on DFO Quads; Marine interpretive walks at 11am and 1:30 pm and Sammy the Seagull!

Opening Festivities are at 1 pm, a Coast Guard Auxiliary Rescue at 2pm and important speakers addressing Why World Oceans Day and what it means to us locally, the Health of Puget Sound (same trends here) and an update on the new Gulf Island National Marine Conservation Area.

This is a chance for you to talk to representatives of gov. agencies and various groups, ask questions and see what groups are doing.

Please forward the attached flyer to friends and other groups, thank you! Hope to see you there!
