Suggestions On Where To Go This Weekend

The next trip I can go fishing is on May 1st, when Vedder goes fly fishing only. :( As I don't know how to Fly fish (yet), I'm looking for any suggestions on rivers that are preferably within an hour from Vancouver. Looking to catch Steelhead, Trout, or Coarse fish. All help is truly appreciated.

What about the Stave? Don't you go there for coarse fish this time of the year? ;)

Most people are hitting interior lakes this weekend, or Fraser for the springs.

There are always lakes around here for stocked trout.

How about some bass bonking in the Fraser Valley?

Or carp fishing as the weather is now warm enough?

Barfishing for dollies in the Lower Fraser?

So many choices.... ;)

Yes, I usually do go to Stave but I haven't heard many reports so not sure. Also the price of gas doesn't help.
