Stocked up with flies!
« on: December 05, 2004, 06:57:46 PM »

I just received 30 flies by Trout Slayer today, which I will be using in Denmark very soon for some exotic species that we don't see here. ;) Flies tied included leeches in various colours (olive, red, black, purple) and a few other shiny furry things that I have no idea what the names are.... (he'll fill you guys and gals in). :) Hopefully these flies will produce a european perch, northern pike or sea trout at the end of my line before Christmas. ;D

Yes, the process has been painful and slow. ;D

I have just been informed that the northern pikes on the land of the vikings are very crazy at a moment, very exciting..... I'll be attempting to whip some of these feathers out with my 5 wt. Unfortunately the 5 wt will be too light for pikes, it'll just be used to target european perch. The fella who is going to accompanying me once or twice said I can borrow his 8/9 wts. I don't think he knows what he is getting himself into. ;)

After your flyfishing experience you can write another article entitled: "How not to flyfish"  ;D

Hey Rod

I spent 5 weeks in Denmark a couple of years ago, never got a chance to wet a line, but there are some amazing lakes. There are a couple that are right in front of 500 year old castles , could make for some increadable fishing pics with a castle in the background. Good Luck
