After hearing about the players meeting this am I think we can kiss this years season good bye. Sounds like they are having problems keeping together as a group and they have until...What...the middle of this month or the season is gone ???

Junior hockey is excellent entertainment. Personally I have season tickets to the Chilliwack Chiefs.

Going to take my kids to a few this year and see if I can get them interested.  6 & 3 yrs.  They are good for TV hockey, but the real thing might turn them on.

Chilliwack Chiefs for me. It's better hockey, played with real heart. It's very affordable. It's family entertainment. And, inside a brand new facility. The best entertainment for your buck. :)

Lets all asume there will be no hockey this year. What will happen to this years crop of juniors?  How are they going to decide who get first pick, will they use the standings from the 2003 season or what? With Sidney Crosby and Gilbert Brule' as number 1 and number 2 picks this year they better have a good way to decide who gets number 1 pick.

Thats a very good question. I would assume that you are correct in using last years standings but that means the same teams get the same draft order as they did last year as well.

The only problem with that is what if Detroit and Colorado get the 1st and 2nd overall pick? Some teams need the draft picks as they dont have a big market and cant spend the millions of dollars upgrading their players.

That would be BS as Washington would end up with Ovechkin AND Crosby ::)

What difference would it make? Do you really think that Washington would do much better this year than last year. At least last time around they had some (underachieving) talent for part of the season. Now they have no one. They would still get last and still end up with Crosby
