What is the best knot for tying your backing line to your reel? With mono.

Too late... I used the Palomar... it's my favorite knot anyways... I just didn't think I could use it at first because I wasn't thinking outside of the box... just have to make the loop big enough to go around the entire reel... Wastes a bit of line... but I was smart enough to take the reel off the rod first... wow that would have been a waste... Thanks anyways for the info.  ;D

Bird,
Thanks for joining the site.  You make me laugh ;D
I was just going to get you to consider a simple overhand with another overhand above it.  Too late :'(
